PUBLIC SPEAKING COMPETITION


​A Canadian and American competition usually held in either Canada or the United States, the International Independent Schools' Public Speaking Competition (IISPSC) is an annual public speaking event open the League's member schools from across the world. All independent schools from any country are welcome to join the League and participate in the annual competition (there is a waiting list for entry).

NEWS AND UPDATES

December 16, 2024 - Tournament Dates for Portland, Maine hosted at Waynflete School October 16-20, 2025. 

Spring 2024 - Information sent out about 2024 tournament in Bermuda including phase 1 registration.

Oct 2023 - Another sucessful IISPSC thanks to our hosts at Crofton House and Little Flower Academy. Stay tuned for information about next IISPSC in Bermuda October 17-20, 2024. 

Sept 11, 2023 - Just a reminder that the Cross-X topic for IISPSC this year is "Should big tech companies (ie. Meta, Alphabet inc, Amazon, Apple, etc.) be broken up?"

May 19, 2023 - Radio News Cast has been updated to News Blog. The major changes are that the topic is now modeled after a BBC or The Economist style podcast, the scoring penalties are now in line with the other categories, and some of the modeling around the adapted category.
